Text Box: Hope Valley looks to the future

Text Box:                  Hope Valley Bowling and Community Club Inc are looking to the future of the club with some very sound decisions in the area of water conservation. To do this we have installed seven water tanks with a capacity of 140.000ltr, to collect all the water run off from the club -Grounds- Car Park - Greens – and all the roofs of  all of the buildings, this with the help of the City of Tea Tree Gully's wet land water being fed into the complex will make us 80% water free from the mains water supply by mid 2009, this will enable us to water our greens more often in the summer months during drought conditions. We have managed to do this with a very substantial grant from the Federal Governments Water Grants Scheme, this scheme is a 100% grant for water conservation and is available to all clubs. The tanks were installed by Aquamate Poly Lined Steel Tanks a South Australian Company and erected on site. The run off water will be directed to a single collection point and then pumped into the tanks. We would urge all clubs to try to save water, and by doing so, save the turf greens, water will become more and more of a problem in the future and steps taken now will surely pay dividends in the coming years of water shortages.

Text Box: Our new shelters will be at both ends of the complex with 4 tanks each of 5000 ltrs

Text Box: Two 7.600 gallon tanks with a 10,300 gallon tank behind these

Text Box: All of the work done that did not have to done by licensed registered contractors has been done by club members. A big job but a job well done and well organized .
Hope Valley would like to thank The City Of Tea Tree Gully—Federal Water Grants Scheme—and Aquamate Poly Lined Steel Tanks for there help, and advise, during the construction of the project
